Off Leash Training

The Total Control system starts with a free behavioral evaluation and consultation. During this interview the K9 Control "instructor" will ask many questions about your life style, your dog's behavior and your hopes and expectations. The instructor will meet your dog personally and will run a series of simple tests designed to assess the general disposition of the dog as well as to observe any specific behaviors. After this "evaluation" the Instructor will offer a FLAT RATE cost for a complete Total Control three phase program.

Phase One: In phase one all lessons will be conducted privately in your home. This is to minimize distractions for both you and your dog in this early learning phase where we lay a foundation for the much more demanding Total Control that will be achieved by the programs completion.

Phase Two: Is where we transfer the foundation laid in phase one to include "off leash" control. This phase bridges the basic to intermediate levels and needs to be done thoroughly and consistently in order for the final phase (phase three) to have the maximum effectiveness.

Phase Three: Total Control - In this phase we reinforce the training accomplished in the first two phases under increasingly higher levels of distractions. These distractions are designed to simulate "real life" where many un-expected and intense distraction may occur. Situations such as the presence of other dogs, cats, traffic, playing children, etc... as well as teaching the dog to refuse commands from strangers are addressed and mastered by the end of Phase Three. You will have a well behaved companion that can travel with you in any circumstance . . . the beach, park or mountains . . . the busy city, school playground or even the office. Your dog will amaze people with is reliability and mindful obedience and you will be filled with pride and want to show him/her off at every opportunity!

At the conclusion of the course you will receive a "certificate of completion" from K9 Control which entitles you to a lifetime guarantee from "K9 Control". If you need any additional help or "refresher" there will be no extra charge.
